ShapeShifters has been designed from scratch as a groundbreaking cocktail bar that always goes beyond the ordinary. As an aspiring B Corp, sustainability isn’t just a buzzword here – it’s a way of life.

Since the earliest planning stages, ShapeShifters has made a firm and unwavering commitment to environmental consciousness and social responsibility. Something new

Growing tired of witnessing burn-out in the tourism and hospitality industries, and with a mission to elevate the standards of service in the North East of Scotland, Hollie and Gilan Kelly began planning ShapeShifters in 2022.

Almost two years on, the ShapeShifters team are ready to deliver warm, attentive and creative hospitality to all those they have the pleasure of hosting. Come in friends, this place is for you.

hollie kelly

Having carved out a career in Environmental Science, ShapeShifters co-founder Hollie Kelly began starting and scaling beautiful purpose-based businesses just over 10 years ago.

Hollie is committed to a ‘no detail too small’ approach and her foundations in science mean she’s at ease with analytics and strategy, but her real superpower is crafting relationships and leading our team.

Hollie takes the reins on all things people and culture and holds the belief that there’s always more we can be doing to connect our business with a purpose that supports the community and the planet, whilst still being profitable and poised for international growth.

Gilan Kelly

An award-winning entrepreneur, ShapeShifters co-founder Gilan Kelly started his first business fresh out of school. Since then, he’s gone on to start and scale a number of experience focused businesses which place customer service excellence at the heart of their operations.

Gilan is a mastermind at customer experience design and dedicates his time to the operational side of the business whilst keeping a keen eye on the experiential aspect – one thing people won’t forget is how you made them feel.

Gilan has been a finalist at a number of business awards and together Hollie and Gilan have been recognised by awards panels for their care for teams, exceptional customer service standards, and ambition to grow purpose-led businesses.
